19 He Loves McDonald's French Fries!! - 2007

ある時 MaCのフレンチフライをマックスにあげてみた。
One day, we tried McDonald's French fries to Max.

さーと手を出してためらわずに食べ始めた。
He quickly picked them up and started to eat.

「マックスがフレンチフライを食べた～～！！」
" Hey, Max ate French fries !!!"
我が家にとっては大事件だ。
This is a huge event for us.
なにしろマックスの初めてのお腹にたまる食べ物なのだ。
This is the very first practical food for him.
そしてマックスの初めての温かい食べ物だから・・
And the very fast warm foods for Max . . .
最初は熱いフレンチフライにびっくりして食べることができなかったがそのうちに慣れて上手に食べられるようになった。
At first, he was surprised with hot French fries and could not eat but gradually he got used to it. 
それからマミーは毎日毎日マックスのディナーを買いに
MaCに行くことになる。
Now, mommy's new routine has started to go to McDonald's day after day to buy Max's dinner.
うれしいようなちょっと悲しいような・・・
Happy and a bit sad . . .
毎日フレンチフライだけ買いにくるマミーは
MaCではうわさになっていたかも・・？

People at the store talked about mommy who came to McDonald everyday to buy only French fries. . .?

アメリカだから他人のことは関係ないかな・・・
In America, they do not care so much about others. . . ?

ある日、MaCと同じ形の自家製のフレンチフライを出してみたがチラッと見ただけで食卓につこうともしない。
One day, we served our homemade French fries with the same shape as Mcdonald's.  He gave it at a glance but did not even come to a dinner table.
「よし　それでは・・」と
"Well, in that case . . ."
MaCの赤いフレンチフライの入れ物に自家製フレンチフライを入れてみた・・・
We put homemade French fries in McDonald's red paper bag.
すると
一応、手に取ってはくれたけどすぐにおいてしまった。
He picked it up and then put it back.
「なんで　わかるの～・・？」
"How could he tell . . .?"
不思議・・・
Strange . . .
次にMaCのフレンチフライと形が全く同じ自家製のフレンチフライを混ぜて赤いMaCの入れ物に入れて出してみた。
Next, we mixed our homemade French fries made exactly the same shape as McDonald's, with McDonald's French fries, and put them in McDonald's red bag.

「今度は食べるでしょう！」
"This time, it should be OK!"

期待してみていると見事に自家製らしきフレンチフライだけが
残っていた・・・
We looked at Max curiously, hoping he would eat. . .  he left behind only homemade (our guess) French fries . . .
私には全く区別がつかないけど・・・・
I cannot tell which is which . . .
「参りました・・・」

「無駄な抵抗はやめます・・・」
"Max, you win, we gave up . . ."

それからは迷うことなくせっせとMaC通いがはじまりました。
We had no doubt any more and mommy started to go to McDonald's everyday again.
