LEGOの達人メイソン

日本の淳おじさんよりメイソンにレゴが贈られたのが始めるキッカケだったが、
とにかくメイソンはレゴが大好き！

A gift from Uncle Jun in Japan was a start of it.
Mason loves LEGO!

欲しいものは全てレゴ。
特にスターウォーズのレゴをコレクションしている。

All he wants are LEGO.
He is collecting LEGO StarWars series.

やさしいのはすぐ作ってしまうが、難しい1,500〜2000というパーツのレゴは
4〜５日から１週間かけて部屋にこもってひとりで図面を眺めながら

(大して図面も見ていない感じだが…）作ってしまう。

Easy ones, he finishes quickly, for difficult ones with 1500-2000 parts, it takes him 4-5 days to one week.  He stays in his room and concentrates.  He finishes all by himself looking at a plan (looks like he is not looking at it so closely . . .)

自閉症のこどもは比較的レゴを好きな子が多いようだ。
It seems LEGO attracts autistic children.
特にダディが出張でいない時に作る事が多い。
He often plays with LEGO while Daddy is out of town on business trip.
最初はマミーもわたくしも細かいことは苦手でメイソンの手伝いが出来ないので
心配だったが余計な心配だったようだ。
大人を全くあてにしていない・・

At first, Mommy and me were anxious because we were both not good at doing detailed handwork and we could not help him, but it seemed we did not need to worry.
He was not counting on us adults at all . . .

ダディがいない寂しさを少しでも埋める事ができて

マミーとしては助かっているが高価なのがちょっと辛いところ…

LEGO makes up for his loneliness while Daddy is not with him, which is helpful for Mommy, except . . .  it's a bit pricey . . .
