68 Mason is a Junior High Student
メイソンは中学生
９月からメイソンは中学生になり３年生のマックスと一緒に通いはじめた。
Mason is a junior high student from September and started to go to school with Max.
Max is in the 3rd grade.
山に囲まれた中学校で環境は素晴らしくセキュリティもしっかりしている。
The junior high is located in a wonderful place surrounded by mountains. They have a very good security system.
何より特別学級のジョー先生が素晴らしくマミー、ダディは
絶大の信頼を寄せていて安心して学校にお任せしている。
More than anything else, Joe at the special class is a great teacher and Mommy and Daddy have an utmost trust in him.
勿論ジョー先生からヘルプの連絡があった時は全力で協力する。
When they receive a call from Joe for a help, they do their best to support him.
ジョー先生は
「いつでも自由に授業の見学に来て下さい」というスタンスであり
フェイスブックに毎日子供達の様子をアップしてくれる。
Joe's attitude is:
"Feel free to come to school any time to observe the class."
He uploads how children are doing on his FACEBOOK everyday.
先生のフェイスブックを見るとクラスの様子が良くわかり
マミー、ダディにとってみるのが楽しみだ。
Looking at his FB, we can see how the class is going.
Mommy and Daddy are looking forward to checking on his FB.
ジョー先生はハンサムな若い黒人の男の先生だがマックスは
ダウンタウンを歩いていて黒人とすれ違う度にニコニコして手を振る。
Joe is a handsome young African-American. Mason smiles at and waves his hand at any African-American persons passing by in downtown.
ジョー先生が大好きで黒人の人は皆ジョー先生のようにみえるらしい。
Mason likes Joe very much, and it seems any African-American persons look like Joe.
スクールバスで４０分以上かかって学校に行くのでマックスのガンガンを
マミーはとても心配していた。
It takes more than 40 minutes to school by school bus and Mommy was worried about Max's head banging on the way.
しかも朝早く６時３０分に迎えに来ることになっていたのだ。
Besides, a pick-up time was 6:30a.m., very early in the morning.
ところが新学期の前日にスクールバスの事務所から連絡があり
「明日は６時半から７時に変更します」
But on the previous day of the first day of the new school term, the office of school bus called us and said: "the pick-up times has been changed from 6:30 to 7:00."
理由はバスが満員になったので
もう一台出すことになりそれにマックスとメイソンが乗り
あとひとりピックアップして学校に向かうとのこと。
ということはバスには三人だけだ。
Reason for a change is all the seats are taken and they despatch another bus for Max and Mason and one more student,
which means a bus is for only 3 students.
バスの中がうるさかったり中には大きい声でマックスを挑発したりする子もいるので
三人だけならこんなに有難いことはない。
When the bus is full, it is sometimes very noisy, or some boys provoke Max with loud voice, so if it is only 3 passengers, we are more than happy about it.
やっぱり、「この子供達にはエンジェルが付いている！」
"An angel is with our boys!"
マックスが小学校に入学する頃、家の近所にいじめっ子が数人いて
意地悪をされたことがあり同じ学校に通うのでマミーはとても心配していた。
When Max was entering a primary school, there were 4 - 5 bullies in our neighborhood and we had experienced bullying by them. They were to go to the same school and Mommy was worried very much.
ところが奇跡が起きた。
However, a miracle has happened.
小学校は車で５分の所にあるが、学期の途中であるにもかかわらず、
我が家と同じ通りに住むいじめっ子たちが皆、車で１５分かかる隣の
学区の小学校に転校になったのだ。
The primary school was in 5-minutes driving. One day, those boys were transferred to the school, in 15 minute drive, in the neighboring school district, though it was in the middle of the term.
勿論 いじめとは無関係でしかも 同じ通りでも我が家に近い方の通りの生徒だけが
転校になった。こんなことってあるのだろうか？
It was nothing to do with bullying and only children who live on the same street and closer side to our house were transferred. Can you believe it?
やっぱり エンジェルがマックスとメイソンを守ってくれている。
An angel is guarding Max and Mason.
マミーは幸先良いスタートにホットひと息する。
Mommy was relieved with a lucky start.
「エンジェルさん これからもよろしく！」
"Dear Angel, please you always look after my boys !"
