2013 マックス、ピアノを始める
Max started to take a piano lesson.
家で一人でも楽しめるものとしてクレイの他にもうひとつ趣味を持たせたいと
思っていたマミーは、ピアノの先生を探し始めた。
Mommy has been hoping to find him something to enjoy at home besides clay,
and started to look for a piano teacher.
自閉症の子供を教えられる先生を見つけるのが大変だ。
何か習わせたいと思っても教えてくださる先生を見つけるのが大変なのだ。
It is not easy to find a teacher who can teach autistic children.
It is alway difficult to find a teacher whatever the subject may be.
音符は全く読めないので先生の指の動きを真似をして音で覚える。
He cannot read music and he learns by listening to melody, copying teachers fingers to play.
最初はできるかしら・・・？
と心配したが驚いたことに簡単にと言っていいくらいに曲が弾けるようになり
マミーもダディも大喜びだ。
At first, we were not sure if he could manage . . .
But to our happy surprise, he so easily learned how to play.
Mommy and Daddy were overjoyed with it.
今では「運命」「エリーゼのために」などクラシックからポピュラーまで５０曲くらい
弾ける（といってももちろん曲の一部抜粋だが）
He now can play about 50 music covering classics to popular such as Bethoven's "Symphony No.5 (Fate)" "For Elise". (a part of it, of course.)
先日は初めて先生からジャズを教えて貰いすぐに一緒に弾きだしたのには
マミーもビックリだった。
The other day, his teacher showed him how to play jazz music for the first time and he quickly played with her. Mommy was so surprised.
知っている曲は習っていないパートでも弾けるみたいで先生も喜んでくれる。
If he knows the music, he can even play the part he does not learn yet. His teacher is so happy for him.
友達のいないマックスにこれでクレイとピアノというひとりでも楽しめる
趣味を見つける事ができて本当に良かった。
It was really great that Max, since he cannot make friends, has now hobbies he can enjoy by himself - clay and piano.
たまには学校の昼休みや教会の催しに拙いピアノ演奏だが弾く機会を与えて貰い
皆さんに聴いていただいている。
Sometimes, he has opportunities to play for audience during lunch break at school and for some events at church.
マックスに関してはいつでも「すみません」「申し訳ありません」
と謝る事ばかりだったので、マミーとダディにとってマックスが褒められるということ
は大きな喜びとなった。
As to Max, we have been saying "we are sorry." "we apologize."
It is a great joy for Mommy and Daddy to hear people praise Max.
メイソンも今年の夏からピアノを習い出したが全く練習をしない。
マックスが弾いているのを聴いて自分もやりたいと言ってしまい
「しまった」という感じだ。
Mason also has started to take a piano lesson this summer but he does not practice at all.
He heard Max play the piano and said he wanted to take lessons.
It seems he thinks now "Oh, I shouldn't have."
でも先生はマックスより良いものを持っていると言って下さるが
どうも続くかどうか…….？ (結局 １曲習ってやめてしまった・・）
Our teacher says Mason has better sense for music than Max but we are not sure if he continues . . . . . ? (He quite after he learned one music, after all . . .)
キャンプで公園に行った時にピアノを見つけ突然弾きだし
スタッフの方々もびっくり！
He went to the park on camp, he found a piano there and suddently started to play.
Staff of camp were so surprised!
僕だって決める時は決めます！
"I play cool when I want to!"
