45 Max is Hooked on Clay Works - 2011

2011年　マックス　粘土でキャラクター作りにハマる。

マックスが７〜８歳の頃、マミーはマックスが遊べるかもしれないと
たくさんのきれいな色のクレイ(粘土）を買ってきた。

Mommy brought home a lot of colorful clay when Max was 7-8.
She thought Max might be able to play alone with it.

マックスもメイソンも友達がいない。
学校から帰ってきてもほとんど家にいるので家の中で遊べるものが必要だ。

Max & Mason have no friends.
They stay at home most of the time after school, so they need something to play with indoors.

マックスはクレイが気に入ったのかいつもインターネットで見ているいろいろな
キャラクターを一生懸命作り出した。

Max started to make various characters that he was watching on internet. 

始めると２時間でも３時間でも座って手先を動かし作っている。
Once he starts, he keeps working on it for 2 hours, even 3 hours.
ミッキーマウスやミニーちゃんその他ディズニーのキャラクターが
だんだんできあがっていく。いつも見ているキャラクターそっくりに
時間をかけてじっくり作っている。

Mickey Mouse, Minnie, other Disney characters are coming out one by one .
He makes them slowly and carefully.  His detailed clay figures look exactly like ones he is watching on internet. 

ミニーちゃんのスカートのひだもそっくりだ。
靴の底の色まで忠実にそっくりに作っている。
Pleats of Minnie's skirt look so real.
Color of sole of a shoe is the same as original color.  

何年か映像で見続けていたので頭に入っているのか細かいところまで
そっくりに作るので感心する。

I am so impressed to see how real they look.  He has been watching them on internet for many years and maybe he remembers images in detail.

ディズニーランドにデビュー後はますます腕に磨きがかかり
今では表情豊かにキャラクターを作りドラム、トランペット、ピアノを弾かせバンドを
結成して楽しんでいる。

After he visited Disneyland, his skill has improved further more.

All his clay figures are so expressive.  He made a drum, a trumpet & a piano for Disney characters to play.  He is enjoying a band of musicians.
