55 "Max, You're Gonna Destroy Our House!" - 2013 - 2015
2013年～2015年 「マックス お家が壊れちゃうよ！」
この頃になると理由が全く分からず突然ガンガンが始まる。
Max's headbanging were happening around 2013-2015.
パニックを起こすと額を近くの壁や柱にガンガン打ち付けるのだ。
When he got into a panic, he hit himself on the forehead real hard on the wall or the post by him.
１１歳１２歳１３歳と大きくなるにつれて自傷行為は激しくなっていった。
As he grew older, 11, 12, 13, his self-harming has gotten harder.
額は腫れてしまいそれでもまたガンガン壁やドアに自分の額を打ち付けるので
額は割れ血がでてくる。
His forehead has gotten swollen and he still continued a headbanging. He kept banging his forehead against wall and door, his forehead was cracked and started bleeding.
「マックス どうしたの？！」「どうしてほしいの？」
"What's wrong, Max?!" "What do you want me to do?"
夜中にマックスの部屋からドンドンと鈍い音が聞こえてくる。
また額をどこかに打ち付けている音だ。
At midnight we hear dull banging noise coming from Max's room.
The noise he is banging with his forehead.
寝てくれたからといって安心が出来ない。
昼間でも夜でもパニックは突然マックスを襲う。
Even after he falls asleep, it does not mean he is OK.
A panic attacks Max suddenly regardless it is a middle of the day or at night.
大好きなディズニーアイスショーにダディと出かけハッピーで帰ってきたのに
突然にガンガンとはじまる。
The day he returned happpily with Daddy from Disney Ice Show that he liked so much,
a headbanging started suddenly.
マックスは普段はハッピーフェイスの子供だが、ガンガン初まる直前には
目は吊りあがり鬼の形相に顔つきが豹変する。
Max is usually a very happy child, but just before this headbanging starts,
his face changes from happy face to awful face with his eyes rolled back.
「マックスに何が起こったんだろう…」
"What is happening on Max . . .?"
不満でガンガンするとは思えず何か身体の中から額をガンガンやらずに
いられないものが湧き上がってくるとしか思えない。
We do not believe he has gotten into a panic out of something he is not happy with.
It looks like something wells up in him which forces him to start a headbanging.
「自分でも止められないんでしょ？！マックス？！」
"Max, you cannot control yourself, can you?!"
マックスだって物凄く痛いのに決まっている。
I am sure it is so painful for Max.
でもガンガンせずにいられないのだろう…。
まだ腫れている額がまた割れて血が飛び散る。
But he cannot stop banging . . .
His swollen forehead is cracked again and blood splashes.
そう言えば２歳半の時に自閉症と診断されたが診断の根拠のひとつに
「額をゴンゴンテーブルにうちつける」というのがはいっていた。
I remember now when he was diagnosed as autism, he was 2 and a half then,
one of the grounds for a diagnosis was "to hit the forehead against a table."
止めようとするともっと暴れるので止めることが出来ない。
ただ治まるのをじっと待つ。
If we try to stop him, it only makes him more struggled so we cannot stop him.
We just wait for him to calm down.
１２歳〜１３歳になると身体もマミーよりもずっと大きく力も凄くて、
とてもじゃないが止められない。
When he became 12-13, he grew up much taller and stronger than Mommy and there was no way for her to hold him down.
腕を強く掴まれただけで痣になってしまいこの頃のマミーの腕や手首は
痣だらけで腫れていた。
Max holds her arms tight and it markes bruises on her arm.
Mommy's arms and wrists were full of bruises and swollen around that time.
顔付きが豹変すると直ぐに「部屋に行きない！」と強く言う。
We decisively say to him "go to your room!" as soon as we notice a change on his face.
しばらく部屋からガンガンものすごい音が聞こえてくる。
We hear terrible banging noise in his room for a while.
「マックス 家が壊れちゃうヨ！」
"Max, you're gonna destroy our house!"
静かになった頃 マックスの部屋に入ると部屋は大変なことになっている。
壁には大きな穴が空きドアまで穴が空いている。
After it gets quiet, we go to his room and find his room disasterous.
There are big holes on the wall, even on the door.
これを全部マックスの額で空けるのだから半端ではない痛さのはずだ。
It is easy to guess how painful it is if you see the holes all made by Max's forehead only.
しかし一切マックスは泣いて騒ぐことはない。
However, Max never cries nor screams.
時には１５分位経つとリビングにひとりで降りて来る。
Sometimes, he comes down to the living room in 15 minutes of so.
マミーが「OK？ハッピー？」と聞くとマックスはＶサインをする。
Mommy asks him "OK? Are you happy now?", then he shows V-sign.
マミーはマックスの腫れている額にすぐに熱さましシートを貼ってあげる。
我が家では熱さましシートは有難い必需品だ。
Mommy quickly puts a cool-down-sheet on his swollen forehead.
翌日はダディが壁、ドアの修理用品を買いに行き
日曜日にマックスと二人で修理が始まる。
修理した壁に日本の友人がマックスのために集めてくれたディズニーの
かわいいポスターを張れば修理完了！
On the next day, Daddy goes to store to buy stuff to repair the wall and the door.
Daddy and Max start a repair work on Sunday.
They put Disney posters from my friend in Japan over the places they fixed,
and it should be all done!
しかし、しばらくするとまたガンガンが始まりマックスの部屋は穴だらけになり
また修理の繰り返しだ。
普段はこんなにハッピーなのに！
However, after some time, Max's headbanging starts again and he makes his room full of holes, and they fix them together.
He is normally such a happy boy like this!
