９〜１０歳近くになるとマックスは言われていることは、大分理解できるように
なったが発話は難しく片言の単語で会話する。

Around at age 9-10, Max got to be able to understand very much what he heard but still it was difficult to talk. His communication was only with simple phrases.

メイソンは言われている事はほとんどわかるが自分自身からの発話が難しく
ダディやマミーが会話の度にセンテンスで教えると長い文章でも
スラスラとリピート出来る。
Mason was able to understand almost all but still it was difficult to talk.
If Daddy and Mommy teach him, he can repeat even long sentences smoothly.
しかし「お腹空いた」ということもなかなかメイソンの口から自発的に出てこない。
意味もわかるし文字も「I am hungry」と書けるがすんなり言葉がでてこない。
But he cannot say "I am hungry" spontaneously.
He knows the meaning and he can write "I am hungry" but cannot say to mean it.
自閉症の子供は言葉で伝えるとなかなか理解するのが難しい。
伝えたい事をビジュアル化して示すと理解が早い。
It is hard for autistic children to understand spoken languages.

They understand smoothly if it is visualized.
学校に行き始めた頃は，
「朝　起きたらすること」を毎朝見せながら学校へ行く準備をさせる。
When they started to go to school, we showed them pictures for "Things to Do in the Morning" to make them prepare for school.
①シャワー　②洋服を着る③朝食④歯ブラシをする
⑤トイレに行く⑥バックパックの準備⑦スクールバスを待つ
1) Showering 2) Putting on clothes 3) Breakfast 4) Brushing teeth

5) Going to Toilet 6) Preparing backpack 7) Waiting for School Bus
「あと5分でバスきますよ」と事前にマックス、メイソンに知らせておくとスムースに
行動できる。

If we tell them "Bus is coming in 5 minutes." they act smoothly.

お風呂での身体の洗い方や頭の洗い方、トイレのお尻の拭き方や
手の洗い方もダディが詳しく絵を描いてくれた。

Daddy drew detailed pictures for:

- How to wash your body and hair

- How to wipe your rear in toilet

- How to wash your hands

プープしたら紙を６シート分を取り指の先に紙を持ち
お尻を拭いて紙をたたんでまたふく。
最後にウェットティシュでワン、ツー、スリー
こんな具合に結構　リアルに・・・・
After poop, take toilet roll length for 6 sheets and hold them with the tip of your fingers, wipe your rear, fold paper in half and wipe again.
Then, use wet tissue and wipe again, one, two, three . . .
Very precise explanation like that . . .

それを見ながら正確に実行し覚えていく。
Boys learn looking at drawings and practice step by step.
覚えてしまうと正確にきちんと実行する。
Once they learn, they can practice exactly.
楽しく見てもらう為にマックスの好きなキャラクターが満載だ。

ダディが絵が上手でよかった♪♪
Drawings are full of Max's favorite characters so that Max can enjoy.

We are so lucky that Daddy is good at drawing ♪♪
