61 Max's Change of Mood and How to Cope with It

 マックスの感情変化と対処法

マックスは突然に額をガンガン打ち付けたりしてパニックを起こす。
Max gets into a panic suddenly, such as head banging.
突然といってもやはり前兆がありその前兆を知ることがパニックを
少しでも抑えるきっかけになり大切なことだ。

It happens so suddenly but there is certain kind of sign for it and it is important to know the sign to find a way to suppress a panic.

キャンプや学校に「マックスの感情の変化と対処法」を作り
学校やキャンプにお願いしている。

We prepared a chart for "Max's change of mood and its solutions"

and asked the school and the camp to cope with it. 

マックスの状況をHappy から激怒までの段階で説明

Max's various feelings :

Very Happy - Happy - Sad - Upset - Angry - Rage

◎ちょっと機嫌が悪い時

 When he is upset:　　
　　　　　　　理　由　　お腹が空いている。のどが渇いている。音がうるさい。
　　　　　　　　　　　　軽く自分の額をたたく。

                          Reasons:   he is hungry, thirsty, it's noisy around him.

                          His action:  he pats him lightly on the forehead.
　　　　　　　対処法　　水や何か食べ物を渡す。
　　　　　　　　　　　「Max　ハッピースマイル」促す

                          Solution:
　　                                    Give him a glass of water or something to eat.

                                           Say "Max, happy smile!"

◎怒っている時

When he is angry:
　　　　　　　状態　　額を自分の膝で強く打ち始める　　　　　　　　　　　
　　　　　　　　　　　　壁に額をガンガン打ち付ける。

                        Action:    Head banging on his knee

                                       Head banging on a wall
　　　　　　　対処法　　他の子供から離す。危ないものの無いところに誘導
　　　　　　　　　　　　ガラスなど。
　　　　　　　　　　　　額を打っていても止めようとしないでください。
　　　　　　　　　　　　「マックス落ち着いて！深呼吸して」

                        Solution:     Take him away from other children.

                                           Lead him into safe place; no broken piece of glass, etc. 

                                           Please do not stop him from head banging.

                                           Talk to him: "Max, calm down!  Take a deep breath."

◎激怒しているとき

When he is in a rage:　
　　　　　　　　状態　　表情はとても厳しく怖い顔、
　　　　　　　　　　　　額を血が出ても構わず思いっきりがんがんする。
　　　　　　　対処法　長くても10分位で収まるので止めようとしないで
　　　　　　　　　　　落ち着くまでさせておいてください

                                       His facial expression:  Very severe and scary look.

                                       He continues a strong head banging. 

                                       Bleeding does not stop him.

                         Solution:  It will stop in 10 minutes or so at the longest.

                                         Please leave him alone until he settles down.
